UpNext (Crit Hit Companion App)

UpNext is a companion app for the Crit Hit podcast. This policy explains what the app does and does not do with your information.

We do not collect, store, or sell any personal information. There is no account, no login, and no analytics, advertising, or tracking of any kind built into this app.

What stays on your device

The list of games you add, and when you added them, is stored only on your device. It is never sent to us or to any server we control. If you add a game's release date to your calendar, that event is created directly on your device's own calendar — we request write-only calendar access for this single purpose, and never read your existing calendar events.

What the app sends to third parties

To show game artwork, release dates, and critic scores, the app sends the name of a game you search for to two third-party services: RAWG.io (game database) and OpenCritic (via RapidAPI, critic scores).

These requests contain only the search text you type — no personal information is attached to them. Each service's own privacy policy governs how they handle that request:

Podcast playback

Episode audio streams directly from our podcast host, Podbean, the same way any podcast app streams audio.

The Lists tab opens posts from our own blog in an in-app browser. Browsing there is subject to that site's own privacy practices, the same as visiting it in Safari would be.

Children's privacy

This app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone, regardless of age.

If this policy changes, we'll update the date above.
